06/01/2009: M I A
Holy crap, my last entry was in March! WTF. Where have I been? Oh yeah, I decided to go back to school and get my MFA at SCAD. One quarter down and five more to go. Now I am on a three week break between quarters. Relaxing...nope. Now I am busy for two upcoming shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco. More on those shows later. It is good to be back.

Hey Everybody!!! I am going to be in a kickin' group show in Los Angeles!! 10/06/2008: Thomas Kinkade is not so bad.
I just turned my Thomas kinkade illustration in for TRUCE the other day. After having painted Thomas Kinkade and having read a few articles about him, I have a new found respect for the self proclaimed "Painter of Light." He is or was sued for shoddy business practices, frequents strip bars, drinks like a fish, has urinated on poor Winnie the Pooh, and sexually harasses women. Not to say I enjoy these activities, but I find it rather interesting for a man to fly the flag of good Christian and practices the opposite of behaviors. I guess painting sugar-filled, saccharine images can cause one to rebel.
10/06/2008: New Images
I have recently added new images in the illustration section of my website.
08/25/2008: Crazy 4 Cult 2 opening.
So, the Crazy 4 Cult 2 opening went well. I was unable to attend the festivities but my friend Dan Santat, who also was in the show, said it was so crowded. Apparently, the line to get in the gallery went on for 3 blocks. I had to experience the show through photos from Gallery1988's blog and oldmanmusings.com's website. Also, if you want to look at the artwork online, check it out at Crazy4Cult.com. By the way, my painting of Violet Beauregarde sold.
08/14/2008: Crazy for Cult 2: This time it's personal...
One of my paintings will be in the Crazy for Cult 2 show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. The show will feature over 100 artists interpreting classic cult films. I painted a portrait of Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The gallery's address is 7020 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles CA. It will be hosted by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier. August 22 - September 12. Opening reception is Friday, August 22 from 7pm - 11 pm. Free Admission. Get there early because there will be a huge line out the door.
07/23/2008: Flying Solo.
As of mid June, I and my illustrations will no longer be represented by Bernstein and Andriulli. For 5 years, Bernstein and Andriulli have been an instrumental part of my career as an illustrator. They have been my partners and my friends. However, I feel I have come to a point in my career where I should experience other avenues and opportunities as my own representative. My literary work will continue to be represented by Paul Rodeen of Sterling Lord Literistic, Inc.
07/11/2008: Salon Della Vita
For all y'all Savannah folks, some of my small works and larger paintings are on display at Salon Della Vita. 128 West Liberty Street. Get your hair did and buy some art! I might even be in there getting my do styled by Kamie.
07/11/2008: Cover of Hospitality Technology Magazine.
I just turned in the illustration for the August cover of Hospitality Magazine. The cover story is about Green Hotels. Click here to see the illustration.
07/09/2008: I revamped my website.
There are new features to my website. I replaced my Blog with a News section. Also, in the store section, I did away with my Wet Paint section and replaced it with Small Works. There is a new look to the Bio/Contacts page as well. My friend and web guru, Brad Barwick, made all this happen. He just kicks ass. To check out Brad's site, click here.
